MC2D Process-Based QMRA Simulator
Live Demo Now Available! Experience Two-Dimensional Monte Carlo Simulation.
This free version showcases the core features of process-based modeling, distribution fitting, and simulation control. Dive in and see the power of separating variability from uncertainty.
Why Choose MC2D Simulator?
Two-Dimensional Monte Carlo
Separate variability (natural heterogeneity) from uncertainty (lack of knowledge) for transparent risk assessment. Essential for regulatory compliance and informed decision-making.
- Clear distinction between aleatory and epistemic uncertainty
- Proper propagation through risk models
- Visual separation in all output graphs
Integrated Distribution Fitting
Built-in fitdistrplus integration for empirical parameter estimation. Handle continuous, discrete, and censored data with advanced statistical diagnostics.
- Cullen and Frey graph for distribution selection
- Bootstrap analysis for parameter uncertainty
- Censored data support (left, right, interval)
Process-Based Modeling
Mirror real-world food safety processes with our intuitive modeling framework. Define processes, calculations, and flows that match your actual operations.
- Visual process flow diagrams
- Template-based rapid start
- Conditional logic and correlations
Comprehensive Analysis Suite
From basic results to advanced sensitivity analysis. Generate publication-ready graphs, risk matrices, and comprehensive HTML/PDF reports.
- Sensitivity analysis (Morris, Sobol)
- Scenario comparison tools
- Risk characterization matrices
Pre-Built Templates
Start quickly with professionally developed templates for common QMRA scenarios. Modify and extend to match your specific requirements.
- Salmonella in whole chickens
- Listeria in RTE foods
- E. coli in ground beef
- Cryptosporidium in water
Flexible Licensing
Choose from free, premium, and floating license options. Machine-locked or network floating licenses available for organizations.

Trusted by Researchers & Professionals
"MC2D revolutionized our Salmonella risk assessment workflow. The process-based modeling approach perfectly mirrors our actual operations from farm to fork. The ability to separate variability from uncertainty has been a game-changer for regulatory submissions."
"As an academic researcher, I appreciate the statistical rigor combined with user-friendly interface. The distribution fitting module with censored data support saved us months of manual analysis. Perfect for teaching graduate students about proper uncertainty analysis."
"The floating license option allowed our 15-person team to share licenses efficiently. The premium features, especially parallel processing and advanced sensitivity analysis, reduced simulation time from hours to minutes. Excellent ROI for our consulting firm."

A Guided Tour of the Live Application
Click the "Launch Live Demo" button above, then follow these steps to see the key modules in action.
1. Process & Advanced Configuration
Once the demo loads, you'll see the main tabs. Process Management is where you build your model. Navigate to Advanced Features to configure correlations and complex logic.
2. Run a Simulation
Go to the Simulation Control tab. Here you can set iteration counts, validate your model, and click the Run MC Simulation button to execute. Watch the progress and status updates.
3. Analyze Distribution Fitting
A core strength of MC2D. Click the Distribution Fitting tab. Upload example data, select distributions (e.g., Weibull, Normal), and click "Fit Distributions" to see statistical comparisons and diagnostic plots.
4. View Results & Reports
After a simulation runs, explore the Simulation Results Dashboard and Advanced Analysis tabs. Generate comprehensive reports and download data—note that full report generation is a highlighted PREMIUM feature.
