Installation Instructions

Step-by-Step Setup

1. Install Download and Install R
2. Download the MC2D Simulator ZIP file using the link above.
3. Extract the entire archive to a folder on your computer (e.g., C:\MC2D_Protected_).

4. Open the R software and Click File, then Source R Code to install_dependencies.R file. Let the computer download and install all the ncessary R pacakges. This will take some time (around 10 to 15 minutes). We will need to do it only once in a computer.

After the completion of the installation of all the required packages, The R console will show the message:

5. After installation of all the required pacakages, Source R Code to run_app.R file. The MC2D Simulator application should now open and run in your default web browser in free version.

6. Bookmark this local address for future use.
7. If you want to try premium features, You can activate Trial Premium version, that is free for 10 days. Go to the License management section and provide your email address and click start your 10 days free trial. The Trial Premium version should be immediately activated if you are connected to the internet.


8. If you want to activate the premium version, go to the License management section, click activate license, go to Request New License. For individual machine locked (one computer only) license, provide your name and email address. If you want to request for floating license (works for any computer), choose that option and specify the number of computer for which the license will be applied. Afterwards, click request license, your request will be sent via internet and the requested information will be displayed to you. Please note your request id and displayed information. and then email the administrator mc2dsimulator@gmail.com with request id for payement and approval for the license. After payment and approval of the license request, the license information will be emailed back to you. You can enter the license key and Full license payload in the same page of license management to activate the premium license and use the premium features.
   

   ⚠️ Important Security Note for Windows Users

   Windows Defender or your antivirus might initially flag the .bat file. This is a false positive because the file launches an R process. You may need to allow it to run. The package contains no malware.
